My Birthday

Well, it's almost over!

I went out last night which was quite pants actually! We (me and Sasha) went to Jumpin Jaks and at 9:30ish you could spin round with your arms out and not hit anyone! Where as Chicago's was packed, but instead we got McDonalds and came back to my house to bum around! Then I had a disturbed nights sleep until I woke up at 8:45ish to open my pressies! Then Harry went to a running event and Sasha went home, we had roast lamb for lunch then we watched the footie this afternoon! Go Man Utd!

Monopoly Run

Well, we went, we tried to do it, and then we came home!

We were in two teams
The Psychotic Penguins: Sam, Emily, Hayley, Jessica - They got 22
The Jailbirds: Me, Helen, Charlotte, Lisa - We got 19

Charlotte, Emily, Hayley, Lisa and Sam went to Gilwell Park around 6 pm ish, I travelled up later with Helen, Jessica and Sarah.

While I was still at home, sorting out our route, I decided to text Sam to found out how things were going, and to ask if it was really cold. The reply was yes, and that we were camping next to a group of Scottish Scouts who had a nice accent.
Later on I got phonecall, and the first thing Sam said was 'It's crap', they hadn't managed to get the tent up because all the poles were wrong, then the tent ripped etc. Basically everything was working against them. So, before we left to go there, we made up a thermos of tea, and two of hot chocolate, which were still warm the next morning!

When we got there the girls looked absolutely frozen, so we sent them to get some soup and to warm up, while we put in the bedrooms.
Helen and I 'borrowed'  a trolley so we could get all the equipment out of her car to the camp, you can see it in a few photos. Then we had to get our tents ready for habitation!
The disco didn't finish till at least half twelve, I was in my two sleeping bags by then, as well as trousers, two t-shirts, a hoodie (hood pulled up), my scarf and hat! And I was still freezing!!!! I looked at my phone at 2 hour intervals, 2 am, 4am, 6 am then I got up at 7 ish.
The Cooked Breakfast was actually two slices of Tesco Value Bread and two burnt sausages. So we grabbed some in London, McDonalds to be exact. First though we had to walk to the train station, before we had even left the site, a boy had been hit by a car along the driveway!

After that came lots and lots more walking then more McDonalds for lunch, then more walking then waiting at Liverpool Street Station for Sam's team, who didn't turn up.
Then a nice relaxing train journey back to Gilwell, then more walking back to the actual campsite.
Though, by that time we were quite cheery because we knew we were going home that night, instead of spending another night freezing my nose off! Lisa had decded to stay with her Explorer Group who were camped a little bit away from us, and Sarah stayed with Derek & crew. The others were bummed because they didn't want to go home.
So we got back, sorted out our stuff took the tents down and loaded up the trolley. We said our goodbyes and drove home, in a lovely warm car.

And now, the next morning, I am so grateful that I'm here in the warm, about to eat a lovely roast dinner instead of the Cornish Pasty we were going to get, even though we were told it was going to be a Jacket Potato with a selection of fillings!

Walk & Cook

I've added the photo's I took, so have a peek.

It was a great day, we had a good laugh, and eventually some edible food! The only bad part is that my legs are killing me today!

I've also added EJ photos, so take a look for some photo's you wouldn't have seen before.

Christmas Fayre!

Our local junior school is having a Christmas Fayre on Thursday, and guess who got roped into stapling raffle tickets to teddy bears? Over 80 teddy bears! And I was also sticking price's to toys that the kid's brought in, the little darlings! (sarcasm)
I know it's my fault though, if I had a job, then I wouldn't be a gofer!
